Introduction
Although grasslands occupy a very small part of B.C., a large proportion of B.C.'s animal species depend on or live in the grasslands. These range from large mammals such as bighorn sheep to tiny and often complex communities of insects, birds, and small mammals. Each of these species has developed unique ways to flourish in the grassland environment.
